Suzzette performing her radio single, “He Set My Life to Music”, which is currently in the Cashbox Magazine top 20 for Country Christian music. About this song Suzzette wrote, “I included it on my "Stronger Every Day" record from a few years back. Occasionally I run across a song that is very personal for me and more than ever I find myself singing it to my Heavenly Father. This is one of those songs.”

This video provides clips of Suzzette performing a variety of material at a few of her more recent concerts.

Statement of Faith

Suzzette believes the Bible is the inerrant Word of God; that Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son, that he was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, was crucified and died for the forgiveness of our sins, that he rose from death, and that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’   ~  Matthew 22:37-39

What does a Suzzette Michaels concert consist of?

There are three facets to Suzzette's concerts... music, art, and spoken word.  The majority of the program will be singing.  This is mostly songs from Suzzette's albums, although she will often include other popular music that your congregation may be familiar with.  Samples of her music are intermingled with the questions and answers on this page.  What makes Suzzette’s concerts unique is that throughout her program she will reveal one or more of her oil paintings and deliver a short message about each.  Her song selection along with her paintings and message follow a specific theme to reveal various aspects of God's love.

Does Suzzette travel with a band?

Suzzette normally performs with the recorded tracks from her albums and other music that she may include.  This allows her to make appearances with no financial guarantee.  If your event requires live musicians this can certainly be arranged.

What does Suzzette charge for her appearances?

Above all Suzzette's work is her ministry.  As such there is no financial requirement for her concerts.  If it does not interfere with the worship experience a love offering is appreciated to help offset expenses and we request to set up her merchandise table, but this is not a requirement.

Will Suzzette travel to visit a small church?

Absolutely. The size of the church and expected attendance are not a consideration.  Some of Suzzette's most moving concerts have been to smaller congregations.

How long are Suzzette's programs?

A standard Suzzette Michaels concert is approximately one hour in length.  This can be adjusted as necessary to fit your service requirements.

What are Suzzette's sound requirements?

Suzzette travels with her own sound system that can accommodate congregations of up to 250 or so members as well as outdoor events.  She will also have a sound technician with her.  For larger rooms we will coordinate with your audiovisual team to make use of your church's sound system.

Suzzette’s name is Suzzette Boggs. Why does she go by Suzzette Michaels?

In the early days of Suzzette's career she performed secular country music and was recording for Warner Brothers Records. Another artist popular at the time was Suzy Boggus.  Because of the similar names and very similar appearance, Warner Brothers requested a name change to avoid market confusion.  Suzzette's husband, Michael (Mike), is very active in her career so Suzzette chose to combine their names.

Where is Suzzette’s home?

Suzzette is originally from Talladega, Alabama, but for the past thirty years has lived just outside of Nashville in the small, scenic town of Springfield, Tennessee, with her husband Mike and dog Gracie. Suzzette and Mike have one daughter, Katrina, who also lives in the Nashville area and works in the music business. Suzzette attends Springfield First United Methodist Church where she is active in the chancel choir and praise band when she is not on the road with her own ministry. This video is Suzzette performing an Easter solo (cover of “He’s Alive) at her home church.
